This is a very interesting collection of children-level stories about some of out best-known presidents that children learn about today: Who Was George Washington?, Who Was Abraham Lincoln?, Who Was John F. Kennedy?, Who Was Ronald Reagan?, and Who Is Barack Obama?It is intended for the Junior- or Senior-High School level reader, and contains a non-fictional style description of each. I purchased the set in November for a nephew for a Christmas gift this year, but I took the opportunity to read through each book (being careful to keep the books looking new). I found them mostly interesting, with a light-hearted approach at times.
These books by Roberta Edwards and others are great fun for kids that are old enough to understand just a bit of history. I have purchased them for my niece and nephew who are 9 and 7 respectively and according to their mother "Who Was George Washington" and "Who Was Benjamin Franklin" are both in heavy bedtime rotation. I'm sad to say that the Benjamin Franklin book (my favorite) is not included in this box set, but all of the books in this series should be great fun for kids and at least mildly entertaining for adults.
